Professional Credentials & Experience
Seidler is an NCIDQ Certificate holder and a LEED Accredited Professional for New Construction and Existing Buildings.
With over 12 years of professional experience, Seidler lead numerous design projects with The Scott Partnership in Orlando, FL, Morris Architects in Orlando, FL, and most recently Ellenzweig Associates in Cambridge, MA. During this time, Seidler worked on projects for the Hard Rock Café, Orlando and the Portofino Bay Hotel, Orlando. He is an associate member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) / and the Boston Society of Architects (BSA).
Research & Publications
Seidler's academic research focuses on the application of pedagogical research in design education. He has published two textbooks, both with Fairchild Books, and has presented numerous papers on design education.
Digital Drawing for Designers: A Visual Guide to AutoCAD, Seidler's first book, explores the relationship between hand drawing and digital drawing.
Hand Drawing for Designs: Communicating Ideas through Architectural Graphics, co-authored with Amy Korté, explores hand drawing as a tool to explore, refine, and communicate design.
Education
Seidler pursued his Masters in Architecture at the University of Florida. While at the University, he studied at the Vicenza Institute of Architecture (Vicenza, Italy) and the Preservation Institute: Nantucket (Nantucket, MA). Graduating at the top of his class, Seidler was awarded the AIA Henry Adams Medal.
