As you develop design drawings you will increasingly need to add notes to your drawings. You may also find at the same time that there is not enough space inside your drawing to include the amount of text required to communicate your design idea.
The text leader command in AutoCAD allows to draw a leader line with an arrow or dot on one end and multi-line text on the other end. This method of noting drawings is mostly used in construction drawings.
This chapter includes and discusses the following AutoCAD commands and concepts:
- Introduction to Text Leaders
- Adding Notes to your Drawing
- Adding Text Leader Styles
- Adding the Arrow Text Leader
- Adding the Dot Text Leader
